Taking the course in Ontario

Ontario's Chief Firearms Officer function operates within the Ontario Provincial Police. Instructors must hold a current CFO designation — confirm this directly before booking. Ontario has the largest number of listed instructors of any province on this site.

Ontario's Hunter Education program (leading to the Outdoors Card) is separate from the CFSC/CRFSC. Because many applicants want both, it's common for Ontario providers to schedule the two courses back-to-back on the same weekend — but they remain distinct certificates from different administering bodies.
